London, UK - June 2006 - Introduction
I remember a few years ago I was between jobs and was desperate to find work, some of the things I identified in that situation was how difficult it was to find any straight to the point help for getting work. The important issues like how to organize my experience to give the prospective employer all the information at a glance, how to evaluate my skills, selling myself at interviews etc, it was very difficult.
A series of events finally led to me finding work, taking things even a step further we now have a company that specializes in providing the much needed support to all job seekers. Professional advice for job seekers is at a premium and most people can\'t afford to pay for those services. What job seekers need are Job search tools that give them the edge.
Do you know it\'s possible to triple the results you get from your current job search efforts with the right tools?
In Most of the European Union and the United States of America the number of available jobs is shrinking while the number of job seekers is increasing. It\'s obvious only those with the best packaging will enjoy unprecedented progress in the job market.
We have developed some great tools that you can find at http://www.wowplum.com
Here is an excerpt from one of the books:
Skills & Career Change Are you in a dead-end job - or a dead-end career? It\'s important to realize that a job should ideally be a stepping stone - a means to an end and not an end in itself. In reality, there are no dead-end jobs, because all jobs are expected to provide an opportunity for progression either within the same company or at another company. The bottom line: you are not supposed to find yourself at a standstill, and once you have outgrown the job you are in, it is time to move on to another job. This is feasible since the Skills; Experience & Attributes (SEA) you gain in one position is, ideally, transferable to your next job role. That said, dead ends are usually imposed by people and their mindsets rather than by companies or employers. In other words, it is often our limitations and restrictions that hold us back, not external factors.
There are 2 categories of job-seekers who may experience what we call "the dead-end job syndrome": * Category 1: This individual does not have the knowledge to package and promote his or her SEA in a way that allows potential employers to see what he/she has to offer.
* Category 2: This individual has not acquired adequate skills to enable progression to a higher-level job and can therefore only get another job at the same level he/she is currently in. This second category is the one that is most common among those experiencing the dead-end job syndrome.
Some of the Topics we cover with our job tools are as follows:
